May 11(1 event) 8:00 am – 12:00 pm Township Spring Clean Up This will be held on Saturday, May 11th, from 8 am til noon at the Township Garage. The cost will be $10 for cars and vans and $20 for pick up trucks and trailers. No oil, paint or hazardous waste, propane tanks, yard waste, household garbage, tires, batteries, recyclables or electronics will be accepted. Drivers licenses will be checked to verify residency.

May 25(1 event) 7:00 am The Revitalization Committee has events planned for Memorial Day weekend. They will be hosting a 5K race, vendor fair, parade, street dance and fireworks on May 25th. The parade starts at 11:00 on May 25. The parade will assemble on Woodlawn Drive and proceed down Main St. to State Street and end at the Fire Hall. There will be a vendor and craft fair on Main Street all day on Saturday. Set up time is Saturday morning at 7 am until 5 pm. There will be a street dance on Main St. also, from 7 – 9 pm. And the fireworks will start at dusk. There will be a Little Ms. ROAR & Little Mr. ROAR pageant, contestants will ride in the parade and judging will be at noon at the kids corner in the Russell Church parking lot. There will also be a cornhole tournament at Larimer Park; this is a team event and registration will be at 1:00 with the competition starting at 2:00.
