Before his untimely death, Pine Grove Township Supervisor Ray Harris initiated an effort to improve the physical appearance of downtown Russell. His overall goal was to make Russell a more attractive and quaint village that would make all Pine Grove Township residents proud. In tribute to Ray’s vision, the effort to improve Russell has continued. A group of concerned Pine Grove residents has met monthly to discuss and learn about community revitalization. Ultimately, we hope to continue revitalize the area.

We are encouraging any Pine Grove Township residents that would like to participate in the revitalization effort and have input into the plan to attend meetings of the revitalization group. The meetings are held the first Monday of each month with the exception of Holidays, at 6:30 PM at the Town Hall. The meetings usually last about an hour.
